New collaboration and security features in Emma

August 7, 2018 Miles Price

As your marketing efforts and your team inevitably grows, it’s important to keep collaboration and security top of mind. We’re excited to announce some new features in Emma that’ll make managing your team’s email marketing easier and more secure than ever.

Two-factor authentication

Great news! We’ve added two-factor authentication for all Emma users! Two-factor authentication (also known as 2FA) is an extra level of security that requires a unique code upon every log in attempt that’s sent to your phone either via an SMS message or from an authentication app. Despite that extra step to the login process, the security benefits are beyond worth it.

New administrator role

When your team grows, we understand that adding new users can be time-consuming — especially if only one person is able to make those changes. To make creating and editing team members easier, we’ve introduced a new type of user role for Emma Plus and Enterprise accounts: the Administrator role. The Administrator role has full access to your account and can:

• Add, edit, and delete users
• View and edit all areas of your account
• Export audience groups
• Generate API keys
• Purge archived items
• Access billing

This new role actually has the same permissions as the current Primary Contact role. The only difference? You can create more than one Administrator making it easier for you to spread team management duties across your users.

Updates to Guestbook app for iPad

Give your team the ability to grow your contacts anywhere they are with our Guestbook app for iPad. Guestbook turns your iPad into an easy-to-use email signup form, connecting directly to your Emma account so you can use your iPad to collect new contacts at your business’ point of sale or at your next event. To make it even easier to use with your team, we recently updated Guestbook with some exciting new features:

• Offline Mode: collect new contacts even when there's no Wifi. Next time you are connected to the internet, Guestbook automatically syncs those new signups with your Emma account.
• Add images from your Camera Roll to use as your background
• Call to action (CTA) images: create a call to action image that entices your customers to sign up
• Customizable Thank You page displays after your customer signs up
• GDPR-friendly consent fields and links to your Privacy Policy

Get the latest version of Guestbook on the App Store.

Wrap up

Two-factor authentication and Guestbook for iPad are available to all Emma customers, and the Administrator role is available to all Emma Plus and Enterprise users.
