Introducing our all-new Segment Builder

You know that feeling you get when you open an email that looks great, is clearly in line with your interests and preferences, and has content that’s both relevant and timely? It’s like a breath of fresh air in the inbox – and to us email marketers, it’s a beautiful thing. After all, sending the right content to the right people is what we’re all after, right?

That’s why we’re so excited to introduce our all-new Segment Builder. It’s not only super easy to use, it’s packed with features that’ll help you send more targeted mailings and drive better results. We’re also excited to have Senior Product Manager Cody De Vos tell you more about it.

Segment by response to individual mailings

You can now use the response results from an individual mailing to create segments. Here are a couple examples to try:

Re-target subscribers who haven't opened a mailing.
It's all about putting you data to work. Build a segment of subscribers who haven’t opened a mailing, try a different subject line, and see if it does the trick the second time around!

Find subscribers who have opened or clicked a specific mailing.
Now, you can drill down and segment a list of folks who engaged with an individual mailing so you can send more targeted follow-ups.

Segment based on timeframe

This means you can create a segment based on a date range of your choosing. Here’s a few ways that you can use it:

Exclude subscribers that have received something from you in the past few days.
This is a great option if you’d like to avoid overwhelming your parts of your audience with too many campaigns.

Re-engage subscribers who haven’t opened in the past year.
It’s a good idea to reach out to subscribers who haven’t opened your emails in quite a while. Include a special offer or a coupon and you might just win back their attention.

Send one of your best-performing campaigns to new subscribers that weren’t in your audience when you originally sent it.
Your audience is always growing, and this is a great way to get more mileage out of your very best content.
