I’m excited to announce that Emma’s 2017 Email Marketing Industry Report has been named a winner in the Killer Content Awards and a Gold Winner in the AVA Digital Awards! Hats off to the team who had a hand in developing this report, including our former Senior Content Strategist, Jeff Slutz, and our amazing creative team.
The Killer Content Awards recognize organizations that have raised the bar in content marketing strategies and campaign, while the AVA Digital Awards recognize outstanding creative professionals involved in the concept, direction, design, and production of media. We’re so thrilled have been selected as a winner for both of these honors!
The thought behind our first-ever industry report
We believe that great marketing doesn’t happen alone, but instead, the best work is done when there is collaboration, sharing of ideas, and learning from one another. That’s why for our Email Marketing Industry Report, we surveyed nearly 200 marketers and interviewed over 25 industry leaders to learn what makes today’s marketers tick. The survey consisted of 12 questions which analyzed the goals, concerns, and pressures facing marketers.
The results revealed a number of interesting trends and insights about today’s marketers, including details on how marketers wrestle with conflicting priorities, the overwhelming amount of data that marketers have access to, and how email remains the king of marketing channels.
Overall, the goal of the report was to arm marketers with the strategies and data needed to go to their organization, propose new solutions, and ultimately achieve the kind of marketing all marketers strive for.
How did it do from a marketing standpoint?
Beyond the great content included in the report, the resulting engagement we tracked speaks for itself! Since the report was released in June 2017, Emma has tracked over 50,000 unique views, and when comparing the unique views in the first month of publication, the industry report had 200% more unique views than a similar piece of content.
In terms of promotion, Emma performed the content during 5 webinars based on the Industry Report, released an infographic summarizing key findings, ran social and banner ads, and ran sponsored content placements in key publications.
The report also has been included in nearly 20 articles to date, including articles in top marketing publications like Marketing Land, Target Marketing, MarTech Advisor and eMarketer.
