Why Australia is home to Emma's first international office

Emma's officially gone global! We’ve opened our first international office in Melbourne, Australia to support our international growth and expansion – and we couldn’t be more excited about it.

In truth, Emma has been working in the APAC region, and internationally, for over a decade. With over 300 customers in Australia, New Zealand and the region, it’s clear we needed to be a local partner to those customers to help them reach their marketing goals.

We’ve chosen a great location at 41 Stewart Street in Richmond – next to the Richmond Station and literally 2 minutes from the CBD – in an area that not only has some of the best coffee in the city, but has quickly become one of the larger tech hubs in Melbourne, if not all of Australia.

Our goal with this expansion into APAC is to not only have an office and staff to help sell Emma’s world-class software, but just as important, it’s to be able to locally support our customers, whether they are standalone businesses, agencies, franchises, resellers or partners.  And yes – this means we'll have local phone numbers!

One of the more exciting aspects of this for me personally is being able to build a team to help small and medium-sized businesses in Australia (and the region) achieve some of the same success that the enterprise businesses here have. After spending nearly 14 years working with companies like Qantas, Telstra, News Corp, Suncorp and BMW on their email marketing technology and services decisions, as well as automating their customer lifecycle programs, it’s refreshing to be able to bring aspects of these multimillion-dollar programs to marketers and businesses with less scale and cost.

Call it feature rationalization, call it democratizing enterprise software…call it what you will. It’s exciting to see a business of one or two marketers build beautiful, engaging email designs, launch and grow workflows using automation, and add features like our lightbox forms to drive more and more acquisition of leads. And of course, do it all with style!
