Marketing United Pre-Conference Recap

Marketing United 2016 is officially kicking off for all of our attendees today, but yesterday’s pre-conference was jam-packed with plenty of smart sessions just for Emma customers. Here’s a little bit of what went down.

 


 

Welcome

Emma CEO Clint Smith extended a warm welcome to pre-conference attendees, complete with special gifts for customers who traveled all the way from Belgium and Australia (!). Meanwhile, everyone got themselves fully caffeinated and prepared for a day full of workshops, tutorials, and one-on-one sessions with Emma experts.

 

 

Sessions

Fan favorites included our “Show Your Work” design workshop, where customers submitted their own emails for critique and tips for improvement; our deep dive into how we (as an email marketing company) do email marketing; and tutorials on how to use tools like automation, segmentation, and dynamic content.

 

The Unlikely Company: Digital Storytelling & Putting Your Audience First

During lunch, entrepreneurs Marcus Whitney and Jacob Jones of The Unlikely Company shared the story of launching their brand and some inspiring examples of how great marketing starts with great storytelling. Our customers LOVED it (and we did, too).

 

 

The Emma Product: 2016 and beyond

Emma VP of Product David Wright gave pre-conference attendees an exciting sneak peak at what to expect from our Product Team in 2016. We won’t spoil everything, but customers are going to really like the enhancements we’re making to our Segment Builder and reporting capabilities.

 

 

1-on-1 Sessions and Partner Experience Hub

Pre-conference attendees also got the opportunity to participate in a one-on-one consultation with an Emma email expert, with tips and suggestions tailored specifically to their account and audience. People raved about the super personal experience!

 

 

Plus, lots of our partners (including Salesforce, Eventbrite, Litmus & more!) were on hand to help customers learn more about our integrations and how to put them to the best possible use.

We wrapped up the day by heading over to the Country Music Hall of Fame for the Marketing United Welcome Reception. It was sponsored by Eventbrite, and they brought out the big guns… their signature cocktail even featured glowing ice cubes!
